Laboratory
Our in-house laboratories are open 7 days a week and offer the following routine diagnostic tests:
Small animals
- General health panel (Complete blood count, blood chemistries and electrolytes)
- Blood gases
- Blood coagulation panel
- urine analysis
- fecal analysis- for parasites exam and bacterial overgrowth
- bacterial/fungal culture and antibiotic sensitivity
- hematology
- Skin and ear cytology
- Organ biopsy for cytology and histopathology
- Parvovirus test
- Heartworm test
- FIV/FELV
- Pre-mating/breeding exam (sperm count and analysis, vaginal cytology and progesterone assay for estrus determination)
Equine
- General health panel (CBC and chemistries)
- Bronchoalveolar lavage cytology
- Zinc sulfate turbidity IgG quantitative test
- Coggins test (send out)
Other tests are sent out to accredited Animal Diseases Diagnostic Laboratories both in Canada and in the United States.
